History

Alabama Merchants Association was first established in 2003 by the joint efforts of our founding members. It comprises of convenience stores/gas stations located within the state. This 323 member association is the biggest C-store chain in the state of Alabama. The association has strong community and ethical values and strives by building grassroots relationships within communities.

Mission Statement

AMA’s mission is to increase strength and visibility of its member’s business, to be a responsible steward of society by responding to the needs of its members and society at large, and to partner with like-minded agencies and corporations that share an interest in advancement of marginalized individuals and communities.

Objective

While AMA’s primary focus has always been on increasing the strength and visibility of its members businesses, it has also historically served as a responsible steward of society by responding to the needs of the community at large. AMA often partners with charities as well as corporations that share an interest in helping communities and individuals in distress.

The association and its members believe in giving back to the community and neighborhoods that have helped it grow and prosper. This reflects a true sense of brotherhood and partnership.
